Nationwide protest: 2face reschedules rally, warns politicians‎ to keep off

Nigeria music icon, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2face has rescheduled the proposed February 5 protest against Nigeria’s Federal Government.

He further warned politicians against thwarting the aim of the rally.

The music star has now fixed the date for February 6 2017.

All seem to be set for the planned nationwide protest by popular music icon, Tuface Idibia.
This is just as the award winning singer has now announced the dress code for the protest.

As shared on his Instagram page, the ‘African Queen’ crooner said the dress code will be anything with a touch of green.
Recall that despite controversies generated by the much publicized February 6 planned protest, in ‘a call for good governance , the Benue State born has vowed to go ahead with his planned nationwide protest against the government.

Afrobeat singer, Femi Kuti, has revealed he turned down 2face Idibia’s request to use the Afrika Shrine for a nationwide protest on February 6, so that the federal government will not close down the popular hangout.

While performing at the Afrika Shrine last night (Thursday), Femi admitted that 2face had come to him to ask if he could use the venue.

NET reports he said: “I hear say they want to do protest here, they even choose the day Sunday, Sunday is my day.

“So I was thinking, 2face say some people come meet am say make he broadcast am, so no be him sit down for him house com plan am, I for no vex".

“Who be the people wey come meet you?” he questioned.

Femi also said he was not comfortable with the entire arrangement, as it was planned without him, before he was approached for the use of the place.

He also had fears about the Afrika Shrine being shut down.

I bet you that Fela Kuti would've taken on the protest and spearheaded it to the very last second of it and even follow up on the outcome. So sad how cowardly we've all grown under this monstrous government.

The demonstration has since been scheduled to take place  at the National Stadium in Lagos and the Unity Fountain in Abuja on Monday morning.

Although the Lagos Police Commissioner, Fatai Owoseni, has warned the artiste against it, 2face on Friday announced the dress code for the march.
